Last dedicated Weapons class 30th March

With regret we announce the cancellation of the dedicated Wednesday weapons-class.

To help cater to students, Tuesday’s session will now include weapons-practice at the discretion of the teacher. Remember that the first hour of Friday’s session is dedicated to weapons as usual.

The last Wednesday session will be on 30th March. Thanks to all who supported it in 2010.

No class Monday, website news, Sevenoaks

For those who missed the email, there will be no University class on Monday 30th August.

Website

Our website is scheduled for upgrades over the next day or two, so don’t panic if you can’t reach it.

New for those of you with a modern web-browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera, you can now see a convenient timeline of our regular training schedule at the top of each page:

I’ve not yet got it to work in Internet Explorer 6-8, so it’s hidden from those browsers. You can of course still refer to our existing Venues and training times page, and if you are signed-up to our mailing-list you will continue to receive email reminders about changes to the regular training schedule.

Sevenoaks

Thanks to all who attended Saturday’s course in Sevenoaks!

Monday classes during Summer

With the exception of July 5th and August 30th, Monday sessions at the University will continue through the Summer.

Unfortunately we need to pay additional fees to keep the Sport Centre open during the school holiday. We kindly ask that club-members wishing to attend Monday classes during Summer please pay £50 to cover the extra cost. But the training will be worth it!

Thank you, and see you on the mat.

5 Sessions commencing week beginning 22nd March 2010

By popular request, Brighton Aikikai will be able to offer training every weekday evening starting Monday 22nd March.  The new sessions will both be at Kicks:

Wednesdays 2045 – 2200 Weapons

Thursdays 2030 – 2200 Beginners to intermediate grades (basics)

Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays will maintain the current formats.

There is  a slight “downside”  in that the monthly fee will rise to £40 to cover the  extra costs. No change for student termly fees and the option of £6 per session remains for irregular trainees.

I look forward to seeing more of you all!
