Reminder: There will be no University class on Monday the 7th because of the Bank Holiday.

Joint 4th dan Course with Phil Rozier and Rick Smaridge — 16th & 17th June

Phil Rozier (4th dan Aikikai) and Rick Smaridge (4th dan Aikikai) – will jointly host a course the weekend of the 16th and 17th of June at the Brighton Judo Club in Dorset Gardens.

Both Saturday and Sunday will run from 11am to 4:30pm with a break for lunch.

The price for the full course is £40, £20 for a single day, and £10 for one morning or afternoon session. No pre-booking required.

Tissier at Dartford

Thanks once again to Christian Tissier Shihan for another excellent course at Dartford Judo Club yesterday. Many of you travelled far and wide to attend, representing not just U.K. aikido but clubs and dojos across Europe and even farther abroad. Thank you all for making it such an enjoyable day of practice!

Friday 23 March Practice Cancelled

There will be no practice on 23rd March as this is the night before the annual Christian Tissier course. Phil & I will see you all on the mat on Saturday.

Grading 11 June 2012

There will be a kyu grading at UoS on Monday 11th June, starting at 20:30. Consequently there will be no practice this day. For anybody wishing to grade, please let Phil or I know so we have the paperwork ready beforehand. The cost of grading remains at £10. Good luck to all candidates.

Pascal Durchon – 5th dan Aikikai – 19th & 20th of May

Pascal Durchon – 5th dan Aikikai – will return to Brighton on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of May at the Brighton Judo Club in Dorset Gardens.

Session times are:

Saturday:
- 11am to 1pm
- 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Sunday:
- 11am to 1pm

The price for one session is £15, or £40 for the whole weekend. No pre-booking is required.
